Many times over, you have thought that there simply seems to be no end to your suffering as attack after attack comes your way. Here's good news for you: there are several ways in which you can get rid of them completely. How? Here are some ways.
Stop the fear
First in the list is to stop your fears. Face them and get used to them. When you deal with panic attacks, you have to get to the roots of it. Panic attacks are caused by fears. The more you have fears, whatever they are, the more you get anxious. The more you get anxious, the more you panic. Consequently, the more you panic, the more the attacks come.
The thing about high levels of anxiety is that the brain gives way to its effects. Your brain soon thinks of things such as difficulty in breathing and feeling dizzy. The more you think about it, the more likely you feel it. Pretty soon, you do feel like you have them and you believe it too. As a result, you panic and soon, develop a panic attack.
Go nowhere near your fears
Aside from stopping your fears, another way on how to deal with panic attacks is to simply get as far away from it as possible. This is a very good alternative to stopping the fear since this is an easy thing to do. Unlike the one that is listed above, this does not require you to face your fears and get used to it- a feat that takes a lot of courage and effort on your part.
By going nowhere near the very things that are causing your fears, you will not only end up getting rid of your panic attacks, you will also stop them from ever happening. Why? An attack only happens when you are overly anxious over something. Why would you be in such state when you are far from the object that's causing it?
Breathe in and out
Most of the time, you feel difficulty in breathing when you have a panic attack. As a result, you panic all the more. It is as simple as that.
The trick to shortening the attack, if ever you have one, is to control your breathing. Breathe deeply and slowly. In this way, you will be able to provide more oxygen to your body and make yourself relax. In this method, not only will you shorten a currently occurring panic attack, but you will also stop one from happening. How? By breathing slowly and deeply, you will be able to relax, and hence, become less anxious. As a result, you will skip the up and coming panic attack.
Calming methods
Aside from the breathing technique, there are other methods that you can do to help calm yourself away from anxiety and panic attacks. Meditation, yoga, tai chi are just some of these methods. Another way that can help calm you is massage.
There are a lot more ways on how to get rid of panic attacks. Whichever you choose, make sure that it will lead you to two things: calm and relaxation to get rid of the panic attacks completely.
